Life has definitely slowed down here in Portugal due to the COVID-19 for the last 1,5 months and we’ve all been dealing with this in our own sacred way. But, there is light at the end of the tunnel… Portugal is reviving slowly and taking its rights back to get back to a “normal” life.
Two important dates for Portugal
May 8th – stores, restaurants, bars, cultural places, public transport for most part to reopen under extra safety conditions.
June 6th – Faro airport receiving flights, big stores, beaches, water parks for most part to reopen under extra safety conditions.
When is the One Life Lodge reopening?
We are aiming to reopen our beautiful villa and retreats from the first week of July even though we know that the circumstances are challenging (and we’ll certainly keep an eye on the entire situation), find the confidence in knowing that we are going to take all precautions to keep our premises safe and clean.
Both, yours and our well-being, health and safety of our lovely guests and workers are of the highest importance for us.
Book a room without paying a deposit !
==> In these uncertain times we offer our guests to book their retreat spot without paying a deposit.
The deposit of 50% will have to be paid only 2 weeks before the start of the retreat. We will send you the invoice to remind you by then.
What about our cancellation policy?
In case you consider cancelling your reservation due to pandemic-related reasons, we adapted our cancellation policy for these uncertain times which is the following:
- you’ll be able to rebook until 1 year after your initial booking.

A pretty white sandy beach ‘ Cabanas Velhas’ is just a short walk down the road. Just build your package or be part of group in one of the special retreat weeks.

What are the safety measures in place?
- All our workers will have specific and mandatory guidelines to follow
- Hygiene and cleaning measures have been reinforced in all areas of the villa
- Private rooms ONLY with your own private bathroom
- Our breakfast will be “a la carte” and will be served by our staff accordingly
- On our outside area, our sunbeds and tables will be placed 2 meters from one another to ensure a good safety distance
To reassure you in terms of safety measurements, we are also in the process of getting our “Clean & Safe” status.
The BIG advantage we have is that our villa is spacious and therefor easy to maintain a safety distance.
To fly or not to fly – that’s the question
We would like to advise you to check the latest Covid-19 measures taken by your flight company or the company you might want to fly with.
